Personal History

From an early age, cars have always interested me. This was most likely initiated from watching Top Gear religiously as a young child. The speed and drama of the cars, combined with the witty, jokey manner of the presenters, depicted an infinitely complex and highly engineered object, in a digestible way. Since then, I have visited the VW factory and museum in Wolfsburg, Germany and taken part in two seasons of the international F1 in Schools competition. This passion for “things” was brought directly to my bedroom after I received a 3D printer for my 12th birthday and learned the basics of CAD and various design software. This gave me a channel through which I could physically design, manufacture and test my own projects.

This expanded further into developing various art projects, the core processes being entirely technological and digital. I used software such as Blender and Creo to create different 3D objects that could subsequently be viewed in virtual or augmented reality. The images below outline some of the artworks I’ve created, engineering events I’ve attended and the various machines I have used to achieve such artworks.

Creo Tutorials

To further contextualize my skills and interests, over the summer lockdown in 2020, I produced various tutorials on how to use Creo, the aforementioned CAD software I used as a core process in my previous art projects.
