Drawing Machines/Plotters

The engine has now been repurposed into a drawing machine. Given the fact the parts are suspended, they can be moved and manipulated simply by pushing or pulling. This is what I have done in this video. Like before, I used both pens and engine oil – from this engine – to have a “robot” create a painting for me.

To, again, resemble the curtailment of a natural process, I filmed myself and the technician who helped me on this project, Mark, cutting down the installation. Not only were the onomatopoeic sounds made when the parts hit the floor of interest, but also the places they fell. What was left looked like a crime scene, as if Parker’s Cold Dark Matter had been reversed.
